CultureDescendant of American engineer revisits century-old bridge in China
Charles Robert Coltman, great-nephew of engineer Robert Coltman, visited Lanzhou on Thursday to retrace his family’s more-than-century-old ties to China. His great-uncle was the chief on-site engineer for the Zhongshan Bridge project. Coltman called the bridge a lasting symbol of friendship between his family and China and of international cooperation.
