CultureAdmire exquisite Ming-era Buddhist statues at Beijing's Zhihua Temple

Three statues in the Tathagata Hall at Beijing’s Zhihua Temple display the craftsmanship of Ming-era Buddhist sculpture. Shakyamuni Buddha is at the center, flanked by two crowned figures whose robes have painted patterns resembling embroidery and fine textiles. Eleven temple statues were restored in 2003–2004.
