WorldUK to provide $71 million winter aid package to Ukraine

The UK will provide Ukraine with £54 million ($71 million) in humanitarian and energy aid ahead of its fifth winter under Russian attack, Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband said. The package includes money for emergency grid repairs, generators and solar power, as well as heating and water infrastructure. The announcement followed Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure that left more than 3 million people in Kyiv without power.
