CultureRussia’s censorship agency bans two dystopian novels by Olga Ptitseva
Russia’s communications regulator, Roskomnadzor, has banned Olga Ptitseva’s novels “The 203rd Day of Winter” and “Spring of Water.” Their publisher confirmed the ban. The Blueprint reported it may have been prompted by signs of “propaganda of nontraditional sexual relationships.” The books depict an alternate Russia plunged into eternal winter under the Party of Cold.
