EconomyLukoil’s agreement with Carlyle on foreign assets has lapsed, report says
A Lukoil International report says the agreement with US-based Carlyle Group to sell Lukoil International GmbH, the entity holding Lukoil’s foreign assets, expired at the end of July after failing to secure US approval. Lukoil is negotiating with other potential buyers. Subject to OFAC approval, it could also transfer its 75% stake in Iraq’s West Qurna-2 oil field to Basra Oil Company.
