Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the EU’s confrontational course toward Russia would aggravate Europe’s existing problems. She accused EU leaders of ignoring this and called EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas’s accusations of Russian hybrid attacks unsubstantiated, saying they divert public attention from mounting problems at home toward an imaginary “Russian threat.”
