EconomyShip traffic through Strait of Hormuz drops to two-month low
Commercial vessel traffic through the Strait of Hormuz fell to its lowest level since July 23 early this week, Reuters reported, citing Kpler data. Just seven commercial vessels passed on Tuesday. Late-September daily oil transit averaged about 10 million barrels, down 27% from the month's peak and roughly 74% of pre-operation levels. Oil exports from Red Sea and Gulf of Oman coasts more than doubled during the conflict, largely offsetting the reduced strait traffic.
