EconomySberbank launches direct business settlements with Myanmar
Sberbank has introduced a direct settlement mechanism for businesses working with Myanmar, saying it will lower exporters’ costs and reduce reliance on intermediaries in third countries. An agreement with Myanmar’s Ministry of Planning and Finance covers settlements, digital financial technology and regulatory expertise. Sberbank’s Indian branch will play a key role, with payments available in Indian rupees.
