Thailand’s Finance Ministry is consulting on a bill to charge all air passengers leaving the country 1,000 baht ($30), The Nation reported. Public hearings are due to run through October 29. The proposed legal ceiling is 5,000 baht; land and sea departures would be exempt in the first phase, and airlines would add the fee to ticket prices at booking. Some passengers are expected to be exempt.
