TechRing’s first smart lock can be charged by turning its dial if the battery dies
Amazon’s first Ring Smart Lock can generate enough power to unlock the door when its rechargeable battery dies: turn the thumb-turn dial a few times. Expected in the US in early 2027 pending FCC approval, it will cost $249 and support fingerprint, keypad, app, and Alexa-compatible controls.
