New Zealand authorities are investigating flydubai co-pilot Hamam al-Hammami after confirming he spent 175 days there on a student visa for part of his flight training. On 30 September, he allegedly attacked the captain and tried to seize control of a Tel Aviv-bound flight carrying 182 people before passengers and crew subdued him.
