Cornell University trustees have appointed former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates to independently review the university’s handling of sexual assault and harassment allegations. The review will cover investigations, disciplinary procedures, campus police responses and fraternity oversight, after criticism of Cornell’s response to a former student’s allegations of rape by several fraternity members. No criminal charges have been filed.
