TechTesla Model 3 and Model Y can power your home as a backup battery
Tesla is expanding its Powershare Home Backup feature to some Model 3 and Model Y owners, allowing their EV batteries to keep homes powered longer during outages. The setup requires a Powerwall 3, and Tesla says certain models can provide more than two days of backup power. Support is currently guaranteed only for vehicles ordered from October 1 onward in the US and Puerto Rico.
