WorldAnother Russian refinery shuts down after Ukrainian drone attack, Reuters reports
A Volgograd oil refinery halted all crude processing after a Ukrainian drone attack on October 2, Reuters reported, citing sources. Governor Andrey Bocharov described a “massive drone attack on industrial infrastructure” without identifying the facilities targeted, while witnesses shared images of a large fire near the refinery. Lukoil says the plant processes about 14 million metric tons of crude annually, roughly 5% of Russia’s refining capacity.
