Paramount Skydance completed its $111 billion merger with Warner Bros. Discovery after Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan rejected a last-ditch bid to block the deal. The new company, named Skydance, brings together major film studios, streaming services, CBS, CNN and live-sports properties. The transaction was delayed by a lawsuit from California and 11 other states; a federal judge had ruled it would likely substantially reduce competition and violate antitrust law.
