Paramount has completed its acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, creating Skydance Corporation under CEO David Ellison. The combined company is expected to challenge Netflix and YouTube in streaming, although it remains smaller than Disney and Amazon. The deal followed a bidding battle and an antitrust lawsuit that was settled after concessions, including an independent board for CNN’s editorial autonomy and an extra $1.5 billion in film spending over five years.
