Based on ETHU’s futures valuation disclosed on Oct. 6, the proposed 3x Ethereum ETF ETHK would target about $1.09 billion of exposure with $362.1 million in assets, equal to 8,000 standard CME Ether futures contracts. The SEC approved a rule change for the listing, but ETHK’s first trading date is pending. Because Volatility Shares manages both funds, it remains unclear whether CME would aggregate their positions.
