Twelve people reached Ukrainian-controlled territory from Russian-occupied Oleshky in September, according to the city’s exiled military administration head. Mined roads, drone attacks and checkpoint interrogations have made organized evacuation impossible. Around 2,000 people, including nearly 50 children, remain in the town amid severe shortages of basic supplies and medical care.
