Science‘Ghost particles’ observatory wins Nobel Prize in Physics
Belgian physicist Prof Francis Halzen has won the Nobel Prize in Physics for pioneering the IceCube observatory at the South Pole. Built into a cubic kilometre of Antarctic ice, its light sensors detect neutrinos that carry clues about violent, high-energy processes in the distant universe.
