Brazil’s presidential election will go to a second round after far-right challenger Flávio Bolsonaro won 47.3% of the vote, ahead of incumbent leftwing president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on 44.8%, with more than 98% counted. They will face each other on 25 October, with Bolsonaro entering as the favourite.
