Milorad Dodik, leader of the ruling Alliance of Independent Social Democrats in Republika Srpska, declared victory for his political force in Sunday’s elections and thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin for supporting it before the vote. Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Central Election Commission said the party’s candidates were leading the races for Republika Srpska president and the entity’s seat on the state Presidency.
