ScienceChinese scientists begin joint disaster survey in Nepal

A team led by China University of Geosciences (Beijing) and Nepal’s Academy of Science and Technology will spend about 20 days surveying the cross-border mudslide triggered by a glacier collapse in northern Nepal on August 26. More than 50 Chinese and Nepali researchers will use drones, helicopters and geological mapping to reconstruct the disaster chain and support the restoration of Gyirong Port.
