TechApple will limit Mac full-disk access as AI agents raise risks

Apple says Mac apps will soon need “very explicit user action” to obtain Full Disk Access. The company says some developers use the permission in ways that can expose files, mail, messages and browsing history, and that increasingly capable, autonomous AI agents will substantially increase those risks. The rollout date has not been announced.
