WorldZelensky says Ukraine aims to produce up to 400 interceptor drones as Russian jet-powered drone use grows

Ukraine could produce up to 400 interceptor drones by the end of October to counter Russia’s expanding use of jet-powered attack drones, President Volodymyr Zelensky said. Kyiv is testing five high-speed designs, but engine shortages and a budget shortfall are slowing development and mass production. Russia launched about 500 drones at Ukraine over the past day, roughly half jet-powered and harder to intercept.
