European Commission spokeswoman Paula Pinho said Kyiv does not face a €27 billion budget shortfall. She said the Commission and its Ukrainian counterparts had concluded the previous day that no funding gap existed. Volodymyr Zelenskyy had repeatedly said Ukraine was €27 billion short beyond this year’s planned funding.
