ScienceVenus' mysterious haze is actually cosmic dust

Scientists have determined that Venus’ yellowish lower atmospheric haze comes from cosmic dust left behind when meteoroids burn up. A Tohoku University team used a microphysical model to show that sulfuric acid interacting with the particles forms the haze, while the dust also acts as condensation nuclei that help clouds develop.
