TechHacks of two federal agencies in a month spill a bonanza of sensitive data
The Pentagon is notifying more than 2 million current and former military members that hackers stole personnel records during a months-long compromise of a Defense Manpower Data Center network. The data included Social Security numbers, names, addresses, sex, race, and occupational specialties. The Pentagon says 2.8 million living people were affected, in the second major breach of sensitive US government personnel records in recent months.
