SportsUK Parliament seeks answers on tax implications of Manchester City ruling
After the Premier League found that Manchester City used “sham” commercial contracts to inflate revenue and understate costs by more than £900m over nearly a decade, Treasury Committee chair Meg Hillier asked HM Revenue and Customs to explain its response and assess possible tax consequences. City denies wrongdoing and is expected to appeal.
