SocietyTeens block high schools across France, demand better conditions

France’s prime minister held a crisis meeting on Thursday and canceled ministers’ travel as protests by high school students spread nationwide, with some turning violent. The students are protesting under-resourced schools, long hours and other grievances. The demonstrations began at schools in the Paris region last week, and police have made hundreds of arrests during clashes.
