PoliticsGermany optimistic about Montenegro's EU membership ambitions

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said Montenegro has made “remarkable progress” toward EU membership and that its ambition is being heard in Brussels and European capitals. Montenegro is viewed as the frontrunner among six Western Balkan candidates and aims to become the bloc’s 28th member by 2028.
