EconomyMetaMask security scare pushes Ethereum validator exits to nine-month high

MetaMask said part of its infrastructure was compromised and that it was exiting affected Ethereum validators as a precaution. Security researcher Kaden said about 17,000 validators holding roughly 523,000 ETH were involved. The incident pushed the exit backlog to about 773,447 ETH, with an estimated 13-day, 10-hour wait; a full exit, withdrawal and re-entry could take up to 45 days.
