The UAE’s chief prosecutor has opened an investigation into a cockpit altercation on Flydubai flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv. The plane was diverted to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, and landed safely. Investigators will examine the motives and whether the incident involved terrorist activity or intent, prior planning or direction. The co-pilot allegedly stabbed the captain and tried to crash the aircraft, while passengers helped restrain him and stabilise the plane. Flydubai has suspended Israel flights.
