TechEthereum prepares 200 million gas push as Layer 1 scaling accelerates
Ethereum’s Glamsterdam upgrade is scheduled for the Sepolia testnet on Oct. 6. Validators must update their clients and can choose whether to adopt a preference that gradually moves toward 200 million gas. The test will assess coordination for expanding Layer 1 capacity, but it will not automatically change the gas limit or consensus rules.
