WorldUK passes new Russia sanctions, but keeps LNG loophole for Asian allies
The UK announced 31 new sanctions against Russia on Oct. 1, targeting people accused of detaining and torturing Ukrainian civilians, figures supporting Russian disinformation, a Russian energy company and eight shadow-fleet ships. It also extended licences allowing LNG from the Sakhalin-2 facility to keep flowing to Japan and South Korea.
