Ukraine’s General Staff said on Oct. 1 that Russian forces have suffered about 1,535,870 casualties in Ukraine since the full-scale invasion began on Feb. 24, 2022, including 1,900 over the past day. It also reported losses of tanks, armored vehicles, artillery systems, aircraft, ships and other equipment. Ukraine has not disclosed its own losses, citing operational secrecy.
