EconomyUS court blocks victims’ claims to 127,000 seized Bitcoin, pointing them to remission

Eastern District of New York Judge Rachel P. Kovner rejected claims from nine alleged fraud victims seeking to contest the forfeiture of about 127,271 Bitcoin. The claimants did not plausibly link their losses to the specific seized wallets. If the government wins the forfeiture case, they may petition the DOJ for discretionary remission, but recovery is not guaranteed to be full.
