Russian stock indices ended Wednesday higher, market data showed. The ruble-denominated MOEX Russia Index rose 0.23% to 2,267.9 points, while the dollar-denominated RTS Index gained 1.27% to 855.01. The yuan fell 9.6 kopecks to 12.372 rubles. BCS Investment World’s Andrey Smirnov described the market as leaning bearish, citing a sharp retreat in oil prices and a stronger ruble, while noting gains in precious metals, platinum and palladium.
