The Bank of Russia’s revised estimate puts the country’s current account surplus at $16.9 billion in the second quarter of 2026, up from $2.1 billion a year earlier. The trade surplus reached $39.4 billion, mainly reflecting higher international prices, while the services deficit was $13.1 billion as overseas travel and other services spending increased.
