Coinbase has won CFTC approval for Coinbase Clearing, giving the crypto exchange an integrated US derivatives structure spanning brokerage, trading and clearing. The new unit can clear fully collateralized contracts, while planned single-stock perpetual futures remain under regulatory review and will initially rely on external infrastructure.
