World45,000 Japanese troops to join US-Japan Keen Sword drills
The Defense Ministry said the Keen Sword exercises will be held in Japan and nearby waters from October 19 to 29, with seven other countries including Australia, Germany and France taking part. Japan will deploy about 45,000 personnel, 40 warships and 250 aircraft. Its new Type-25 mobile missiles, with a range of about 1,000 km, will be shown for the first time, but not fired.
