TechProtesters gather outside OpenAI’s DevDay

OpenAI’s annual DevDay began Tuesday with a rally outside San Francisco’s Fort Mason. More than a dozen organizations protested the company’s military and government contracts, especially its ICE contract, along with data centers’ environmental impact and the concentration of power in the AI industry. Protesters also directed chants and criticism at CEO Sam Altman.
