WorldUkrainian suspected of blowing up Nord Stream seeks asylum in Croatia
Ukrainian citizen Vladimir Zhuravlev, suspected by German investigators of orchestrating the Nord Stream pipeline explosions, has applied for political asylum in Croatia, his lawyer Nikolay Katerinchuk said. The lawyer noted that the application does not automatically stop extradition. A Croatian court has approved extradition to Germany, which the defense plans to challenge.
