PoliticsTwo former Hungarian ministers detained over suspected bribery and misuse of public funds
Two ministers from Viktor Orbán’s former government, Balázs Hankó and Miklós Seszták, were detained after parliament lifted their immunity. Prosecutors suspect Hankó of directing 17.3bn forints in public funds to Fidesz-linked recipients and Seszták of taking more than 12bn forints in bribes tied to bus purchases and construction projects. Both deny wrongdoing.
