The European Commission rejected Ukraine’s request for €220 million to support farmers and provide liquidity to the agricultural sector, Bloomberg reported, citing Agriculture and Food Policy Minister Taras Vysotsky. He said the country would obtain the needed funds through a $250 million concessional World Bank loan. Ukraine has also sought larger EU duty-free import quotas for bioethanol and sugar in 2027.
