WorldParis court finds Swiftair guilty over 2014 Mali crash that killed 116

A Paris court convicted Spain’s Swiftair of corporate manslaughter over the 2014 Air Algerie crash in northern Mali, which killed all 116 people aboard. The airline was ordered to pay France’s maximum fine of 225,000 euros after the court cited negligence in training for icy conditions. Swiftair has 10 days to appeal and maintains the trial should not have proceeded.
