Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier is asking a judge to stop OpenAI from giving ChatGPT what he calls false human attributes. He argues that first-person language and emotion-like outputs can deceptively make users see the bot as a trustworthy “friend,” and wants new AI models blocked without third-party-approved safety guardrails.
