Yemen’s Houthi-controlled Ministry of Transport and Public Works says 198 commercial vessels crossed the Bab al-Mandab Strait from September 22 to 26—104 northbound and 94 southbound. It said shipping is operating normally, though the actual number may be higher because some crews disable tracking. The Houthis said passage is safe except for vessels of the “Saudi enemy.”
