UN Acting Under-Secretary-General for Counter-Terrorism Alexander Zuev told TASS that terrorist groups are rapidly adopting new technologies, including artificial intelligence, and seeking to exploit instability and weak governance, particularly in some African countries. He said sustained efforts and vigilance are needed to counter the evolving terrorist threat.
