TechBitget had 30 minutes to contain hack before $290 million moved

Bitget said it detected unauthorized wallet transfers at 18:31 UTC on Sept. 24 and activated emergency protocols. But Hypernative’s reconstruction found that $87.6 million and $202.8 million moved in two later bursts, together representing about three-quarters of the $387.5 million ultimately sent to attacker-controlled addresses. The attacker allegedly compromised a backend wallet system, spoofed withdrawal data and bypassed authorization controls; transfers continued until 21:23 UTC.
