EconomyVW and Gotion ramp up battery production in Europe and Morocco
Volkswagen Group and its Chinese partner Gotion High-tech plan to invest a combined €3.22 billion in three battery production lines in Europe and North Africa as EV demand grows. The jointly owned factories would provide 37.5 gigawatt hours of lithium-ion battery capacity and 100,000 metric tons of cathode capacity.
